I have complete control of my practice, including which cases to accept and how my firm projects its vision and purpose. I am naturally inclined to provide my clients with individualized attention, time and service because it is part of my upbringing and how I would want to be represented. I thoroughly research the law and apply it to the unique facts of your case to help find the best and most cost effective way to win your case. I handle every aspect of your case myself. It is important that I get to know you as a client and take the time to carefully listen to your concerns and your goals and formulate a specific strategy for your case.
I extensively prepare each case as if we are going to trial to ensure the best outcome as quickly and amicably as possible, yet my goal is to avoid the unnecessary expense and emotional drain of litigation. I have participated in all types of mediation for cases big and small and I always seek the most favorable outcome in the most stress-free and expedient manner possible. Unfortunately, it is sometimes in my client’s best interest to proceed to trial. This is the time you need an aggressive lawyer who is willing and capable of litigating your case successfully.

I was born and raised in the Mahoning Valley, Youngstown, Ohio. I am a proud graduate of South Range High School in North Lima, Ohio. I attended
John Carroll University (B.S., cum laude, 1995) where I played baseball
and was a member of the Psi Chi National Honor Society. I received my law degree from the University of Akron (J.D.) in 1998 and was the
recipient of the CALI Excellence for Trial Advocacy Award. I am admitted to practice in all Ohio courts and the United States
District Court, for the Northern District of Ohio.
My practice areas include Plaintiff’s
personal injury, criminal defense, juvenile defense and employment law litigation. I have successfully litigated numerous civil and criminal cases. I have been recognized as an
Ohio Super Lawyer Rising Star for 2012 and Ohio Top 40 under 40 by the National Trial Lawyers. I have been certified by the Ohio Supreme Court to represent indigent defendants in death penalty cases as trial co-counsel.
I am currently the President-Elect and Trustee for
the Mahoning County Bar Association, Grievance Committee member, and past co-chairperson of its Young
Lawyers Committee. I am a member of the Ohio Association for Justice, National Trial Lawyers of America, and the Mahoning County and Ohio State Bar Associations. I am also a member of the Facility Governing Board
for the Mahoning County Community-Based Correctional Facility.
