Attorney Joseph R. Ohlin, a partner at Hartwig & Ohlin, has begun his term as president of the Mahoning County Bar Association after taking over from past president T. Scott Kamenitsa Jr. this summer. A criminal defense attorney who has practiced in Mahoning County since 2021, Ohlin has said his top priorities as president are growing the bar association's membership and expanding access to CLE credit, including making more online options available to members who can't attend programs in person. Colleagues, including new president-elect Nicole Butler and Kamenitsa himself, praised Ohlin as well-prepared, respected, and well-suited to lead the next generation of local attorneys.
